Wedding Invitations Return Address

Wedding invitation address etiquette says the back flap is the preferred place for the return address.

Wedding invitations return address. The return address goes on the back flap of your invitation envelope and the front side of your response envelopes. Choose someone to take care of the response cards and list that person s address on the invitation envelopes and response card envelopes. If the hosts are the bride s parents then their address will be printed on the flap.

There is no need for a return address on the inner envelope. For example if the bride s parents are hosting the wedding the invitations should use the parents address. Traditionally names are not included on a formal return address.

Traditionally the return address would go on the back flap of the envelope. If you are using double envelopes inner and outer for your invitations the return address only goes on the back flap of the outermost envelope. Step 1 use the address of the wedding s host on the back flap of the envelope containing the wedding invitation.

If the bride s parents are hosting the return address would go to them. The return address on your wedding invitations should be the person or persons who are hosting the event. Note that the return address on your wedding invitation should traditionally match the address on the response card envelopes.

If you re hosting your own wedding the address should reflect your own. The return address should be printed again by hand if possible on the back envelope flap. On a formal return address the names are not included only the address.
