Sage Cornbread Dressing
We ve developed a special cornbread crumble recipe specifically for this southern cornbread dressing.
Sage cornbread dressing. Bake as directed above. Stir in sage pepper and salt. Add sage poultry seasoning bay leaf and cayenne pepper sauté for 2 to 3 minutes more.
Omit celery and sage. For the southern sage cornbread dressing. Stir in broth beaten eggs and onion mixture.
Add the crumbled cornbread parsley sage poultry seasoning and salt and pepper. Sauté celery onions and bell pepper in butter until translucent. Add giblet juice gradually.
Our cornbread is a little bit sweet but it blends perfectly with the celery onions and sage. Whisk together the cream soup broth and eggs and pour over the dressing tossing to coat. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 4 in a large bowl combine the celery onions 3 cups crumbled corn bread eggs chicken stock sage and salt and pepper to taste. This cornbread dressing recipe has so much flavor because it s seasoned with sage and parsley and the texture is always perfectly moist. Stir in 1 4 oz can chopped green chiles.
In between adding giblet juice add sage and salt and pepper to taste. Add chopped celery and onion and sauté 10 to 12 minutes or until tender. Perfect when made ahead frozen and rewarmed on the big day.
